Underground fuel tanks

Valtank’s main product: underground steel fuel tanks, single or double walled, made to EN 12285-1. 22 standard sizes with a diameter of 1,600, 2,000, 2,500 or 3,000 mm.

Configure and request a quote

The steel is blasted to Sa 2.5. The outside gets at least 2 mm of glass-flake reinforced polyester, and the inside can be lined with 0.75 mm vinyl ester on request. The tank can be split into compartments for different fuels.

In Sweden, existing tanks inside water protection areas must have secondary containment by 1 January 2028 (NFS 2021:10). A double-walled tank with leak detection is one way to provide it.
